Law360, New York (May 25, 2005, 12:00 AM ET) -- The European Union has informed Israel that it opposes the proposed amendments to the country’s patents law, which would make it easier for Israeli generics makers to compete in the U.S. market, according to local news reports.
E.U. representatives have contacted Minister of Industry, Trade and Labor Ehud Olmert and Minister of Justice Tzipi Livni to note their opposition to the amendments, E.U. ambassador Ramiro Cibrian Uzal told Israel’s “Globes” business daily.
