Law360, New York (September 17, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- New York state and New York City have hit Merck & Co. Inc. with a lawsuit seeking tens of millions of dollars for money wrongfully spent on Vioxx prescriptions.
The suit, filed Monday in New York State Supreme Court, accuses Merck of deliberately concealing information that Vioxx caused an increased risk in heart attacks, strokes and other cardiovascular problems.
