Law360, New York (July 03, 2012, 4:44 PM ET) -- Accretive Health Inc. on Monday hammered away at the latest allegations of unethical medical billing practices lobbed by Minnesota Attorney General Lori Swanson, telling a court that a consumer protection lawsuit doesn’t demonstrate illegal conduct and should be thrown out.
The motion to dismiss comes two weeks after Swanson upped the ante in her headline-grabbing battle with Accretive, filing a new complaint in which patients allege being shaken down for payment while they bled profusely or had tubes inserted in their throats.
