J&J Rebuffs Settlement Talks In Patent Dispute With Boston Scientific

Law360, New York (June 17, 2005, 12:00 AM ET) -- Johnson & Johnson has rebuffed an offer to begin settlement talks by rival Boston Scientific in their patent dispute over drug-coated stents, Boston Scientific told the Boston Globe.

A J&J spokesman declined to comment on the remarks, which were attributed to a spokesman for Boston Scientific, according to the newspaper.

The report comes amid amid ongoing trials in Delaware between the companies involving patents on their competing drug-coated cardiac stents used to treat clogged arteries.
