Miss. Law Tightening Rules For Abortion Docs Remains Barred

Law360, New York (July 11, 2012, 10:55 PM ET) -- A Mississippi federal judge on Wednesday extended an order blocking a Mississippi law requiring doctors performing abortions to be board-certified OB-GYNs and have admitting privileges at a local hospital, which an abortion clinic claims is unconstitutional.

In a hearing, U.S. District Judge Daniel P. Jordan III said he would extend a temporary restraining order — that would have expired Wednesday — until he issues a ruling on a pending motion for a preliminary injunction, according to Robert McDuff, an attorney for the Jackson Women's Health Organization....
