Fla. Man Admits To Selling Fake Diabetic Test Strips

Law360, New York (July 17, 2012, 7:54 PM ET) -- A Florida man pled guilty Monday to launching a scheme to sell counterfeit diabetic test strips purchased from suppliers in China and England to pharmacies throughout the U.S. and submitting false customs declarations on the products.

Jacques Duplessis, 61, faces up to three years in prison for selling about 6,000 boxes of counterfeit LifeScan OneTouch strips to wholesalers across the U.S. and Canada. Duplessis is also subject to a fine of up to $350,000 over his actions, which took place between August and October 2006....
