Law360, New York (July 17, 2012, 8:49 PM ET) -- A federal judge said Tuesday that Vermont owes $2.2 million in attorneys' fees and expenses to three medical data companies, including IMS Health Inc. — about half the amount requested for a U.S. Supreme Court case over pharmacies' tracking of prescribing patterns.
The companies had wanted $4.2 million, but U.S. District Judge J. Garvan Murtha decided there were abundant excesses in their request, including inflated hourly rates and improper meal expenses.
