Law360, New York (November 19, 2012, 12:50 PM ET) -- A for-profit Christian publishing company doesn't have to immediately comply with the Affordable Care Act's contraception mandate because adhering to the law would infringe on its and its owners' religious freedom, a Washington federal judge said Friday.
U.S. District Judge Reggie B. Walton granted Tyndale House Publishers Inc.'s bid for a preliminary injunction, saying the company represents the beliefs of its owners and as a result has the authority to challenge the law on religious grounds.
