Law360, New York (November 15, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- GlaxoSmithKline has added a “black box” to the diabetes medication Avandia warning about possible heart problems, acknowledging that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's studies could not exclude the risks the drug poses.
The FDA announced Wednesday that Avandia's label would now warn patients that the medication could increase the patients' risk of suffer a heart attack.
