Pfizer Wins Dismissal Of Lipitor Class Action

Law360, New York (January 10, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- A proposed class action lawsuit that accused Pfizer Inc. of deceptively marketing its blockbuster cholesterol treatment Lipitor has been dismissed after more than two years of litigation in which the plaintiffs' claims were slowly winnowed down.

Judge Adalberto Jordan of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida on Wednesday granted the parties' joint stipulation of dismissal with prejudice. As part of the dismissal, the plaintiffs agreed not to take any appeal arising from the case.
