Law360, New York (January 23, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- A federal judge overseeing the multidistrict litigation over the cholesterol-lowering drug Baycol has given more than 400 plaintiffs two weeks to show cause why their claims should not be dismissed from the massive case.
Judge Michael J. Davis of the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota said in a Jan. 16 order that he would dismiss scores of plaintiffs because their claims are derivative to the claims of a former Baycol user previously dismissed from the case against Bayer AG and GlaxoSmithKline.
