Law360, New York (January 23, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- Merck & Co. and Schering-Plough Corp. are yanking television ads for Vytorin amid proposed class actions and a congressional inquiry on the effectiveness of the cholesterol drug.
The companies said Tuesday that they had decided to voluntarily and temporarily suspend direct-to-consumer broadcast advertising of Vytorin, which combines Zetia and Zocor, the Associated Press reported.
