Patent Victory Propels Corning's Life-Sciences Expansion

Law360, New York (November 18, 2005, 12:00 AM ET) -- Optical device maker Corning Inc has come out on top in a patent dispute over technology used to detect the presence of chemical, biochemical and biological substances in a sample, with a Delaware federal court ruling that rival SRU Biosystems infringed a Corning patent for the device.
