Law360, New York (February 19, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- Another batch of patches containing the strong painkiller fentanyl has been pulled from store shelves over concerns that a design flaw could lead to a fatal overdose in patients or caregivers.
Actavis South Atlantic LLC, formerly known as Abrika Pharmaceuticals Inc., voluntarily recalled on Monday its generic pain-treatment patches sold in the United States, just days after a Johnson & Johnson subsidiary yanked its Duragesic patches off the market.
