Law360, New York (February 21, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- The Food and Drug Administration asked on Thursday for public comment on its proposed recommendations to its animal drug review process. The recommendations include more user fees, higher performance goals and a better technology infrastructure.
The proposed recommendations are for the reauthorization of the Animal Drug User Fee Act of 2003. The act, which is up for reauthorization, authorizes the FDA to collect user fees from regulated industry in order to review animal drug applications.
