Law360, New York (March 05, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- A Barr Pharmaceuticals Inc. subsidiary has filed suit against Watson Laboratories Inc., alleging infringement of a patent covering the oral contraceptive Seasonique and seeking to block Watson from selling a generic version before the patent expires in 2024.
Barr announced Wednesday that Duramed Pharmaceuticals Inc. had lodged the suit, asserting a patent that the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office issued on Jan. 22.
