Doctors Slam Cholesterol Drugs Over Safety Concerns

Law360, New York (March 31, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- In a blow to Merck & Co. Inc. and Schering-Plough Corp., a panel of four cardiologists has reportedly recommended against using two of the companies' jointly marketed cholesterol-lowering drugs, saying the drugs may not work and should be used only as a last resort.
