Law360, New York (July 18, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- A jury has cleared Johnson & Johnson and its McNeil-PPC subsidiary in a case alleging that Children's Motrin caused a young girl to go blind.
After a six-week trial, a jury voted 9-3 that the warning label on J&J's Children's Motrin bottle was inadequate. But the jury also ruled that an inadequate label was not a substantial factor in causing 11-year-old Sabrina Brierton Johnson's injuries.
The family will appeal the ruling, said Browne Greene of Greene Broillet & Wheeler LLP, an attorney for the Johnson family....
