Law360, New York (July 24, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- Cephalon Inc. has filed a patent infringement suit against Barr Pharmaceuticals Inc. to stop the generics maker from marketing a copycat of its cancer painkiller Fentora.
The suit, filed Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, is the second lawsuit Cephalon has filed over a proposed Fentora generic. In June, the company sued Watson Pharmaceuticals over the same two patents for tablets of fentanyl buccal, the active ingredient in Fentora.
Neither company immediately responded to requests for comment.
