Law360, New York (September 05, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- Hearing aid maker Vivatone Hearing Systems LLC sued over 30 competitors for allegedly infringing its patent for a digital, open-ear hearing aid on the same day the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office issued the patent.
Vivatone filed a complaint on Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas against American, Canadian and European hearing aid manufacturers, claiming that each company infringed its newly granted patent rights by making, using or selling products that infringed at least one claim covered by the patent....
