Law360, New York (November 07, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- Bayer Healthcare LLC has unleashed a lawsuit against Norbrook Laboratories Ltd., accusing the veterinary pharmaceutical company of infringing Bayer’s patent for Baytril as it tries to bring a generic version of the antibacterial drug to market.
On Thursday, Bayer filed the complaint in the U.S. District Court for the District of Kansas, claiming Norbrook’s recent attempt to win regulatory approval of a generic treatment for bovine respiratory disease violates Bayer’s patent for Baytril.
