Law360, New York (December 16, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- Gilead Sciences Inc. has slapped Teva Pharmaceuticals Industries Ltd. with a patent infringement suit after the Israeli generic-drug maker filed an application to market a generic version of the HIV treatment Truvada.
Gilead filed the lawsuit Friday following Teva's filing of an abbreviated new drug application to market a generic version of Truvada, according to a company statement.
“Gilead has full confidence in the strength of its patent position and plans to vigorously defend the intellectual property rights of Truvada,” the company said in a statement....
