Law360, New York (February 20, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- Cardinal Health Inc. has reached a consent decree with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration regarding inspections and recall procedures for its drug infusion pumps.
The amended consent decree was submitted to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California on Wednesday and requires court approval. It revises an earlier consent decree the company has operated under since 2007 after the FDA found that some of the company's pumps were defective and could cause patients to receive overly high drug doses.
