Insurers Say Web Spy-For-Profit Suit Not Covered

Law360, New York (June 15, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- Twin City Fire Insurance Co. and Hartford Casualty Insurance Co. should not have to defend Core Communications Inc. against allegations it helped spy on Internet users for profit, the insurance providers have said.

Insurance policies from the providers do not cover Core in a lawsuit over its alleged spying on Internet users’ surfing habits, Twin City and Hartford said in a suit filed Monday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland.
