Prudential Weighs Sale Of 2 South Korean Outfits

Law360, New York (October 05, 2009, 6:26 PM ET) -- Prudential Financial Inc. is exploring whether to sell its investment and asset management units in South Korea, just over a year and a half after it completed the nearly $400 million acquisition of the two companies from the South Korean government.

Prudential announced Sunday it might sell either or both Prudential Investments & Securities Co. Ltd. and Prudential Asset Management Co. Ltd.

The decision would not impact the company's life insurance business in South Korea, the Prudential Life Insurance Co. of Korea Ltd., it said....
