Cytosol Accosts Chubb For Insurance Money

Law360, New York (November 28, 2006, 12:00 AM ET) -- Life sciences pharmaceutical manufacturer Cytosol Laboratories Inc. is suing its insurer for refusing to cover nearly $1 million in claims over an allegedly defective salt solution product.

The suit against Federal Insurance Company, a subsidiary of Chubb Group of Insurance Companies, was originally filed in Norfolk County Superior Court on Aug. 11, but it was transferred to the U.S. District Court in Boston on Friday.

Previously, Braintree, Mass.-based Cytosol had purchased a pair of life science policies from Chubb. The first of those, which was effective...
