National Gypsum Claims Belong In Arbitration: AIG

Law360, New York (February 23, 2010, 1:19 PM ET) -- An American International Group Inc. affiliate has asked a judge to throw out a suit over coverage for defective drywall claims against National Gypsum Co., contending that the dispute is subject to a mandatory arbitration provision.

National Union Fire Insurance Company of Pittsburgh, which provides excess liability coverage to the drywall maker, filed a motion seeking to dismiss or stay the claims against it on Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of North Carolina.
