Law360, New York (July 16, 2010, 3:20 PM ET) -- National Union Fire Insurance Co. of Pittsburgh, Pa., is suing to force Liberty Mutual Fire Insurance Co. to pay a greater share of the $5.5 million Silgan Containers Corp. owes Del Monte Corp. for defective tomato cans.
National Union filed a cross-complaint Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California claiming Liberty Mutual owes more than the $1.5 million it has already paid Silgan for Del Monte's claim.
