Insurer Should Cover $20M Employee Theft, BEI Says

Law360, New York (September 17, 2010, 4:58 PM ET) -- BEI Sensors & Systems Co. Inc. has stepped in as the plaintiff in a suit seeking $20 million from Great American Insurance Co. to cover property stolen by employees, replacing its parent company, Customs Sensors & Technologies Inc.

BEI, the subsidiary that directly suffered loss from alleged thefts, put its name in the caption Thursday in an amended complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
