Federal Insurance Loses Stay Bid In A&F Coverage Suit

Law360, New York (October 08, 2010, 3:53 PM ET) -- A magistrate judge has rejected Federal Insurance Co.'s motion to stay discovery while the court mulls over its summary judgment bid in a suit Abercrombie & Fitch Co. filed accusing the insurer of shirking its obligation to cover defense costs stemming from securities litigation against the clothing retailer.

Magistrate Judge Elizabeth A. Preston Deavers of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio signed off on an opinion and order denying the Chubb Corp. unit's motion to stay discovery Tuesday.
