Law360, New York (May 31, 2011, 5:22 PM ET) -- Two American International Group Inc. units sued Lennar Corp. in New York last week to avoid covering trade secrets extortion claims against a business partner linked to a criminal stock manipulation scheme against the homebuilder.
The complaint, filed May 25, stems from a contentious real estate development dispute between Miami-based Lennar and Nicolas Marsch. Lennar contends Marsch tried to extort money from the company after their relationship went south, while Marsch contends the company has wrongfully denied him revenue and profit, according to the present complaint....
