Judge Guts Jilted Allstate Agent's $15M Contract Suit

Law360, New York (September 15, 2011, 7:13 PM ET) -- A Pennsylvania federal judge on Thursday dismissed most of a former Allstate Corp. agent's suit alleging the insurer terminated his agency contract in order to absorb his business portfolio, leaving only allegations regarding Allstate's efforts to enter him into the agreement.

Plaintiff Paul Mattus accuses Allstate of effectively running him out of the insurance business and executing a hostile takeover of his agency and clients by denying him a good-faith negotiation of his contract with the company.
