Law360, New York (February 03, 2012, 5:04 PM ET) -- Progressive Choice Insurance Co. was hit with a representative action Wednesday by automotive policyholders accusing the insurer of delaying or rejecting claims through overly intrusive claims inquiries and drawn out investigations.

In their complaint filed in California court, the policyholders, who had purchased automobile and motorcycle insurance from Progressive Choice, claimed that when they filed claims for theft or vandalism, the insurer launched into long investigations to prove fault on the policyholders' part, enlisting an attorney to find alleged inconsistencies in their claims.
