Greenwich Sues To Avoid Coverage In Gas Explosion Suit

Law360, New York (March 09, 2012, 2:11 PM ET) -- Greenwich Insurance Co. on Thursday filed a lawsuit against an environmental cleanup company and several natural gas companies to avoid paying defense costs in an underlying lawsuit filed by two men alleging they were injured in a natural gas drilling operation explosion.

Greenwich said in a complaint for declaratory judgment that BBU Environmental Services Inc. is seeking coverage for Chesapeake Operating Inc., Signal Completion Services Inc. and H&H Oilfield Services Inc., which are the companies named in the underlying personal injury lawsuit.
