Judge Shields Colo. Employer From ACA Contraception Rule

Law360, New York (July 27, 2012, 7:19 PM ET) -- A Colorado business doesn't have to immediately comply with the contraception mandate of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act because it violates the business owners' religious beliefs, a Colorado federal judge said Friday.

U.S. District Judge John L. Kane Jr. issued an injunction temporarily exempting Hercules Industries Inc. from being forced to provide health insurance that covers contraceptives, starting Nov. 1.
