Humana Buys Employee Services Firm Harris Rothenberg

Law360, New York (August 09, 2012, 3:44 PM ET) -- Humana Inc. scooped up employee assistance programming provider Harris Rothenberg International Inc., the health insurer said Thursday, as part of its plan to beef up it offerings for policyholders navigating life issues.

Privately held HRI, headquartered in New York City, provides employers with resources to help their workers combat personal problems, including emotional and legal woes and drug abuse, through employee training and coaching. The firm currently caters to roughly 5.5 million people in the U.S. and another 70,000 internationally.
