Simpson Thacher Guides KKR's Buy In Risk Investment Firm

Law360, New York (January 24, 2013, 1:05 PM ET) -- Private equity powerhouse KKR & Co. LP has scooped up a substantial minority stake in a Bermuda investment manager whose $8 billion in assets are largely insurance-linked securities tied to natural disaster and weather risk, the buyer said late Wednesday.
