Law360, New York (February 01, 2013, 4:08 PM ET) -- Only 11 states and the District of Columbia have passed any legislation to put into place Affordable Care Act-mandated consumer protection provisions for health insurance, raising the possibility of coverage gaps, according to a report released Friday.
According to the report, issued by health care policy group The Commonwealth Fund, only Connecticut has passed legislation to implement all seven of the ACA insurance coverage provisions that are due to come into effect in 2014, including guaranteed access to coverage and a ban on pre-existing condition exclusions....
