Law360, New York (March 05, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- A Mississippi lawmaker has again put forth a bill in the U.S. House of Representatives that aims to reform the type of homeowners insurance available in coastal areas by offering wind coverage through the National Flood Insurance Program.
Democratic Rep. Gene Taylor reintroduced the legislation this week, dubbed the Multiple Peril Insurance Act of 2009, which would amend the NFIP to give homeowners the option of purchasing both wind and flood coverage in one policy.
