ITC To Dig Deeper In Chinese Ribbon Investigation

Law360, New York (August 24, 2009, 6:50 PM ET) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission has determined that there is a reasonable indication the U.S. industry for ribbons used on scrapbooks and floral arrangements is threatened by imports from China and Taiwan sold at Michael's Stores Inc. and Target Corp.

The ITC said in a statement Friday that all six commissioners voted to continue the investigation, which was prompted by a July petition by the only two U.S. producers of the ribbon at issue, Berwick Offray LLC of Berwick, Pa., and its subsidiary Lion Ribbon Co....
