Law360, New York (October 28, 2009, 5:10 PM ET) -- World trade took a beating in the depths of the recession, starting in late 2008, but may have bottomed out in the second quarter of 2009 and appears to be improving, according to the World Trade Organization's annual statistical report.
The WTO issued its annual report of international trade statistics Wednesday, noting that exports of all product categories worldwide registered abrupt declines in the fourth quarter of 2008 after more than five years of sustained growth.
