US Supports Countervailing Duties For Chinese Ribbon

Law360, New York (December 09, 2009, 3:07 PM ET) -- The U.S. Department of Commerce has preliminarily determined that Chinese imports of ribbon used in scrapbooks and floral arrangements are being subsidized and should be subject to countervailing duties in the United States.

The International Trade Administration, which is part of the Commerce Department, said Tuesday that it has determined that Chinese producers have received net countervailable subsidies ranging from less than 1 percent to 118.68 percent.
