ITC To Review Smallpox Vaccine Ruling

Law360, New York (November 27, 2006, 12:00 AM ET) -- Under pressure from Bavarian Nordic, the U.S. International Trade Commission has agreed to review an earlier ruling that favored biopharmaceutical rival Acambis in a patent infringement spat over a smallpox vaccine.

On Monday, Bavarian Nordic revealed that the ITC intended to take a closer look at a decision handed down in the contentious patent case, marking a boost for the Danish pharmaceutical giant.
