US, Home Products Defend Ironing Table Duties

Law360, New York (January 22, 2010, 3:00 PM ET) -- The U.S. and domestic ironing board maker Home Products International Inc. are fighting a Chinese exporter's bid for judgment in a case challenging anti-dumping duty calculations on metal-top ironing tables from China.

The U.S. and HPI both filed opposition briefs Thursday in the U.S. Court of International Trade urging the court to deny Since Hardware (Guangzhou) Co. Ltd. judgment on the administrative record, saying the U.S. Department of Commerce was right to use adverse facts to determine the dumping margin.
