US To Step Up Funding, Advocacy For Exports

Law360, New York (February 04, 2010, 3:23 PM ET) -- The U.S. will spend more money advocating for the export of American products abroad and create an Export Promotion Cabinet as part of an effort to double U.S. exports in the next five years.

Commerce Secretary Gary Locke said in a speech Thursday at the National Press Club that the governmentwide effort to double exports would support two million U.S. jobs and will “correct an economic blind spot” that has hurt American competitiveness.
