Law360, New York (February 12, 2010, 4:08 PM ET) -- The U.S. Court of International Trade has dismissed a lawsuit by domestic furniture manufacturers bent on preventing the liquidation of imported merchandise from China before anti-dumping duties associated with the entries are fully collected.
Despite plaintiff’s claims that the court needs to clarify the affect of amended orders on liquidation deadlines, the CIT canned the case after oral argument Friday, backing the U.S. government’s contention that the suit is based on hypothetical harm and lacks all basis for an injunction.
