Law360, New York (February 24, 2010, 5:58 PM ET) -- The U.S. Department of Commerce has imposed preliminary countervailing duties of up to 13 percent on steel pipe imports from China, handing a win to U.S. Steel Corp. and other domestic producers that sought protection against the Chinese products.
The DOC said Wednesday it had preliminarily determined that Chinese pipe makers received countervailable subsidies from the Chinese government and set duties ranging from 11 percent to 13 percent on imported steel pipe.
