International Trade Law Enforcement Ramps Up In 2010

Law360, New York (April 16, 2010, 6:34 PM ET) -- The first quarter of 2010 was particularly busy in the area of international trade law enforcement, with officials announcing record-setting settlements with BAE Systems PLC in a foreign bribery investigation and with Balli Group PLC over violations of export laws.

Several disputes stemming from World Trade Organization rulings also heated up, as the European Union asked the WTO for permission to retaliate against the U.S. over zeroing, and the U.S. managed to delay the imposition of Brazilian countermeasures for WTO violations related to cotton subsidies....
