Law360, New York (May 03, 2010, 12:17 PM ET) -- The U.S. Court of International Trade has dismissed a suit brought by Hitachi Home Electronics America Inc. claiming that the U.S. government improperly charged duties on imported flat-screen televisions from Mexico in violation of the North American Free Trade Agreement.
The CIT on Friday dismissed the action without prejudice due to lack of jurisdiction, ruling that it could not take up the case because U.S. Customs and Border Protection had not yet denied a protest by Hitachi.
