Law360, New York (July 27, 2004, 12:00 AM ET) -- Taiwanese chip maker MediaTek has fired back against Zoran Corp. and its subsidiary Oak Technology, counter-suing the rivals for infringement of two of its patents at the U.S. International Trade Commission and in federal court.
The complaints, filed with the ITC and the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, asserts that Zoran infringes U.S. patents no.6,229,773 and 5,970,031.
MediaTek’s patents relate to servo controller chips in optical disk drives and player vibration-immune uninterrupted playback, according to the company.
